The Secretariat for the Department of Health is responsible for fiscal administration, human resources, purchasing, IT, academic administration and course management. The Secretariat consists of the Financial and Human Resources Unit, the IT Unit, the Academic Unit and the Graduate School Secretariat.

The Financial and Human Resources Unit advises the administration and the various academic sections on fiscal and personnel matters and performs tasks in these areas.

The IT Unit performs computer functions for the entire Department except the Medical Museion, primarily in the form of system administration, backups, PC installation, installation of the sections’ shared network printers, licensing, procurement of PCs and printers, and limited user support.

The Academic Unit handles the administration of Department academic programmes, student advising and updating the Department of Public Health and Master of Public Health websites. In addition, the Unit provides support to the Danish Graduate School in Public Health Science (GRASPH) and the Danish Graduate School in Biostatistics.

The Graduate School Secretariat supports the national PhD programme in Public Health.
