MBHI hos patienter med kroniske rygsmerter

Research output: Contribution to journalJournal articleResearchpeer-review

Studied the predictive validity of the MBHI (T. Millon et al, 1982) and analyzed the differences in personality and attitudes between patients with chronic lower-back pain and patients with acute pain. Human Ss: 26 male and female adults (aged 28–60 yrs) (chronic lower-back pain); 24 male and female adults (aged 18–70 yrs) (controls) (acute pain due to fractures). Ss and controls completed the MBHI at the beginning and at the end of a 6-wk physical and psychological therapy program. The results for the 2 groups were compared. Ss were also interviewed by phone 6–25 mo after the end of treatment to determine the extent of the success of the therapy. The actual success of the therapy was compared with the predictions for success based on the MBHI results. (English abstract) (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2012 APA, all rights reserved)
