This article argues that reproductive technologies are problematic despite widening (and when publicly funded also democratizing) access to parenthood for particularly vulnerable groups, such as LGBTQ+ and those suffering from infertility. The problem with reproductive technologies is their promotion of biological parenthood, which reinforces patriarchy.
