The implications of mammography screening on health care use and its associated financial costs

Research output: Working paperResearch

Hypotheses
- Women are more likely to increase their health care use after receiving a false positive in mammography screening. We expect that women diagnosed with breast cancer have a higher use, and women with normal results have a lower use.
- We hypothesize that patterns in health care use change as a consequence of being invited to screening. The direction of such change might be both ways and differences can occur across types of health care services.
