Research

My primary research interest concerns the long-term health consequences of social adversity experienced in childhood and young adulthood. With support from the Danish Heart Foundation, I am currently investigating the effects of childhood adversities on the development of cardiovascular disease in young adulthood, and whether the effect differs between men and women. To do this, I use a register-based cohort study, DANLIFE, covering all children born in Denmark from 1980 onwards, totaling more than 2 million people. You can find the DANLIFE cohort profile under my "Research outputs" or read more about DANLIFE here.

Teaching

I am a teaching assistant at the master's course in epidemiology at the University of Copenhagen. I am also supervising projects in public health and epidemiology at both bachelor and master level.
