I am an epidemiologist with a vision of improving health worldwide. I currently work on combining machine learning methods and causal inference to investigate complex epidemiological questions on synergistic effects of multiple causes. The application of such inductive tools may enable us to formulate hypotheses that we can challenge. Synergistic effects may give us aetiological insight and eventually enable us to make informed, targeted, and effective interventions reducing morbidity and mortality. My current work regards children and young adults in Denmark and children in Guinea-Bissau.
