I have a PhD, Master's and Bachelor's degree in Public Health Science from the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences at the University of Copenhagen. My primary research interests are COVID-19, stress, migraine/headache, migrant and ethnic minority health, working environment, dementia and social determinants of health.
Currently, I am doing research on risk factors of COVID-19 focusing on sociodemographic factors.
In my PhD project, I applied data from national registers and population surveys to investigate stress and migraine as potential midlife risk factors for dementia in later life. My Master's thesis was based on a working environment survey in which I investigated whether post-traumatic stress symptoms (PTSD) were reported differently depending on one's socioeconomic background when being bullied at work. Previously, I did a qualitative Bachelor's project based on interviews on neglect in children with mentally traumatized parents, where my aims were to investigate secondary traumatization in children, and how this could be prevented.
