MeST seminar with Professor Margaret Bearman

Medical education in a digital world

The pandemic has highlighted the role of the digital in teaching and learning. We often focus on innovative technologies but not what this might mean for education more broadly. This presentation explores how medical education might need to adapt to a technology-mediated society, particularly one where artificial intelligence is increasingly a part of everyday work and life.

Margaret Bearman is a Professor within the Centre for Research in Assessment and Digital Learning (CRADLE) at Deakin University. She has extensively published across a broad range of topics in clinical and higher education. Interests include: feedback in clinical environments, simulation-based education, and teaching, learning and assessment for a digital world.

Everybody is welcome!
