    Emma Grundtvig Gram is a Ph.D. student at the Section of General Practice, Department of Public Health, University of Copenhagen. Emma has a master’s degree in Public Health from the University of Copenhagen. Her Ph.D. project concerns the long-term consequences of breast cancer screening, where she employs both quantitative and qualitative methods. Emma has primarily done research on medical screening, false-positives, overdiagnosis, decision-making, psychometric theory, and health communication.

    Emma won the Lisa M Schwartz scholarship for best abstract on on communication in medicalization research 2022. She is the chair of the Early and Mid Career Researchers Group, Preventing Overdiagnosis. Emma teaches biostatistics to master students and critical appraisal of literature to postgraduate doctors becoming general practitioners.
