1. Senior Advisor, Capacity Development, University of Copenhagen
Development and management of projects, campaigns, courses and more. Over the years I have worked in the fields of research, education, development cooperation, humanitarian assistance, cultural events and exchange. Worked in and collaborated with NGOs, UN agencies, public sector partners, media, education and culture institutions, private sector partners in Denmark and across the world. Global health interests: Connecting ideas and people across sectors, cultures, generations, and disciplines, developing and testing new concepts and approaches, communication assignments, skills and capacity development, engaging in multicultural and multidisciplinary projects and partnerships.
2. PostDoc, Bandim Health Project / University of Southern Denmark
I am a health systems researcher with a diverse educational and professional background in Business Sciences and Public Health. I spent over a decade working in the private sector as a Business Sciences graduate before transitioning to a career in Public Health. My current primary country of work is Guinea-Bissau, and I conducted my PhD research evaluating a health systems strengthening initiative focused on maternal and child health in the country. I continue to pursue research focussing on health systems initiatives, health financing, and health systems planning in the country, while also engaging in other areas of research including sustainability-related challenges. Global health interests: Health systems research, health financing, maternal and child health.
3. Public Sector Consultant, Gesellschaft für Verwaltungsberatung
My current job is my first full-time job after graduating from KU in April 2023. In my current role I manage and execute organizational diagnostics and development projects for local public sector institutions all across Germany. The projects I have been involved in so far have focused on crisis management and leadership, process optimization, digitalization, organizational restructuring, and generally future-proofing the German public sector. While I have worked with actors in the German health care sectors, my work does not explicitly focus on public or global health. During my studies I was associated with two different research programs as an intern and as a research assistant. I have also gained some experience in development cooperation as an intern at GIZ in Germany, where I focused on knowledge management and organizational learning. Global health interests: European crisis and disaster risk governance, societal resilience, crisis leadership and communication.
4. Project Manager, Learning and Engagement, International AIDS Society
Prior to beginning my master's I had experience in the TB field, where I worked closely with the ministries of health of Kenya and Myanmar on developing the national strategic plans against TB. With my geography background I was charged with creating maps to include in reports as well as assist with the research and recommendations. I also have experience working with people living with intellectual disabilities having interned internationally in Sri Lanka and the United States. After my master's I have worked in the HIV space for the past six years, overseeing capacity building opportunities, primarily in Africa where I have organized to date eight trainings on HIV cure for both advocates and researchers in Rwanda, South Africa, Togo and Zambia. Additionally, I have led the organization of conference sessions ahead of the major AIDS conferences in the world and had the privilege to organize such events in Australia, Canada, Germany and Rwanda. I am multilingual and regularly work in French in addition to English. Global health interests: HIV, key populations, LGBTQ+ issues, innovation, my geographic area of focus is Africa.
5. PhD Student at the Unit of General Practice, SDU
I have experience working in science communication at a med tech company, but most of my experience is in health research and academia. I am a first year PhD student with the unit of general practice at SDU, currently doing epidemiology research, with a focus on musculoskeletal pain, weight changes, and glp-1-RA use. Global health interest: global mental health, nutrition, NCDs (especially obesity related diseases), age related diseases.

7. Associate Professor, University of Copenhagen
Before joining academia, I worked for different NGOs and in the UN system. I conducted my PhD on suicide prevention in rural Sri Lanka. Global health interests: key research areas of mine are to contextually explore and understand toxicity and practices of intentional and unintentional poisoning by different means (pesticides, alcohol, methanol and more) and to explore practices of health care providers in the wider context of well-being, life circumstances and working conditions. I am interested in community, health workforce and systems perspectives as well as how we communicate about health. Capacity strengthening is a central component of my research projects and more recently I also engage in research on this theme. My research is primarily conducted in East Africa (Tanzania and Kenya) and Asia (Sri Lanka, India, Bangladesh) with numerous partners.

I’ve worked in this position for 2 years, first job after graduation. Global health interests: Pharmaceuticals: market access, education, access to health care, navigating healthcare systems, clinical analysis. / WASH: period poverty, humanitarian work / Health equity, health of minorities.
9. Associate Professor, University of Copenhagen
40+ years of experience as researcher, educator, consultant in global environmental health - main focus on vector-borne disease epidemiology and control, climate change and health and planetary health. Former Head of WHO Collaborating Centre on Health and Environment in Sustainable Development. Global health interests: Planetary health including climate change and health, vector-borne disease control, environmental health.
10. Postdoc, University of Copenhagen
I have been working in global mental health since 2011, focusing on developing and integrating mental health treatment packages in resource-limited settings. My research interests include using participatory methods to design and adapt interventions, so they are culturally and contextually appropriate. One of my key achievements has been co-developing the Community Informant Detection Tool, which helps identify mental health problems in the community and can be used by people with no formal mental health training. My MPhil and PhD projects focused on adapting and testing prevention and treatment interventions for perinatal depression. I am now working on a large European project that aims to strengthen mental health promotion and prevention across different countries and age groups, with a strong focus on making mental health care more accessible and meaningful in real-world settings. Global health interests: mental health, implementation science, equity, social and structural injustice, maternal depression, prevention and promotion interventions, participatory methods, qualitative methods.
11. Data Employee, Endocrinology Department, Bispebjerg Hospital
After graduating in 2023, I started working at a nursing home in Frederiksberg, before finding my current position in april of 2024. Global health interests: health communication, health innovation, e-health.
12. Professor of Disability Studies, Linköping University
I have worked for universities, a global medical device manufacturer, and multilateral organisations including WHO at UN City in Nordhavn. Global health interests: Disability Inclusion; Social Inclusion; Non-Communicable Diseases; Health Policy; Planetary Health; Health Systems Strengthening.
13. Founder, Anshu Consulting - Health Within and Beyond Borders
I have dedicated my professional life to serving public health within and beyond borders. Through academic training in public health (BSc, MSc, PhD) and over a decade of applied research experience across Europe, Asia, and Africa, I have collaborated with universities, NGOs, and most recently, the World Health Organization. I have worked across developing countries in South Asia and Africa, taking on leadership roles in non-governmental organizations, government consultancy projects, and academic institutions. Global health interests: Research Methodology, Public Health Advocacy, Sexual and Reproductive Health.
