To provide detailed information on the history of advocacy for tobacco control advocacy change and effective tobacco control policy implementation in the State of Kerala, India in order to strengthen the argument that the activities supported by civil society in Kerala are primarily responsible for the reductions in tobacco prevalence in the state between the conduct of the first and second rounds of the Global Adult Tobacco Survey, India.
