First article from study published
Since the study officially was initiated in April 2020, little activity has been going on due to COVID-19 restrictions in Mexico. All research activities – i.e. data collection at the IMSS Hospital in Cuernavaca, Morelos, where the study takes place – have been cancelled until further notice. Nevertheless, collection of data for the MAS-Lactancia birth cohort study – in which the Danida study on obesity and anaemia during pregnancy is nested – continues of and on depending on the severity of the corona pandemic (opening and closing of hospital activities).
In spite of the challenges described above, we are delighted to announce that our first article in a peer-reviewed international journal "Infant feeding, appetite and satiety regulation, and adiposity during infancy: a study design and protocol of the 'MAS-Lactancia' birth cohort" has been published today in BMJ Open. It describes in detail the methodology of the MASLactancia birth cohort study.
