New members of the Y-ENGAGE project commenced work on February 1st 2022
On February 1st 2022, two new members of the Y-ENGAGE project, Claudia Bagge-Petersen and Nishta Origen, commenced work at the sections of Global Health and Health Services Research at the Department of Public Health, University of Copenhagen.
Claudia Bagge-Petersen is a postdoctoral researcher with a background within techno-anthropology. She has research experience within the field of Science and Technology Studies, with a particular focus on the interplay between young people and technology. She will be responsible for developing and evaluating the methodology of the Y-ENGAGE study, in collaboration with a postdoctoral researcher from Arhdi University in Tanzania. This work includes tailoring Photovoice as a participatory action research method to Y-ENGAGE, together with representatives from the Tanzania Youth Coalition and young Tanzanians trained as co-researchers.
Nishta Origen has a Master of Science in Global Health and a background in nursing. She has experience working within the context of adolescent health and development with the United Nations in a low-income setting. This experience includes involvement in the management of youth-oriented community-based research, programme implementation and policy development. She will support Y-ENGAGE as a research assistant and will be engaged in diverse administrative and coordination tasks, as well as assisting the development of the study protocol.
