Y-ENGAGE visits Save the Children Denmark

The Tanzanian team members of Y-ENGAGE were delighted to visit Save the Children in Copenhagen, marking another milestone in their impactful collaboration. Reflecting on the visit, the team highlighted the privilege of working alongside Save the Children's dedicated change agents, whose unwavering commitment to improving the lives of children and young people remains a source of inspiration.

Together, researchers from Tanzania and Denmark, along with Save the Children's change agents, are ensuring that the voices and experiences of children and young people in Tanzania—those most affected by the climate crisis—shape both research and actionable practice. A key focus of this partnership is the co-creation of School Conversations for Climate Action, a school-based intervention designed to promote dialogue, build resilience, and inspire local solutions among children and young people in Tanzania.

The visit offered a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas, align strategies, and celebrate the shared mission of empowering young people as central agents in tackling climate challenges. The Y-ENGAGE team eagerly anticipates further strengthening this collaboration to drive meaningful change for communities in Tanzania and beyond.
