India-Nordic Health Forum focuses on future-ready health workforce

Discussions focused on moving from knowledge to outcomes and ensuring effective implementation of new technologies in healthcare education. In the final panel on pedagogy and technology, Jane Brandt Sørensen from the University of Copenhagen represented the Partnership for Education of Health Professionals (PEP) programme alongside Indian partners from Public Health Foundation India and Christian Medical College, Vellore.

The panel highlighted the importance of competency-based learning, co-creation, and cross-border collaboration. It was emphasised that technology must support - not replace - learning processes and relationships. Scaling education, panelists agreed, also requires close alignment with real-world practice. The panelists further discussed how access to digital platforms alone does not ensure equitable learning; true equity depends on creating inclusive environments where learners feel recognised, not just monitored. In the context of growing India–Nordic collaboration, the forum and panel debates reinforced a shared goal of building capable, confident health workers.
