PartoMa seminars – Closing the gap between clinical guidelines and reality
Anthropologist and filmmaker Lara Meguid visited the PartoMa Seminars in December, and we are now excited to launch her 7-minutes "PartoMa seminars – Closing the gap between clinical guidelines and reality":
The PartoMa seminars have been conducted for 3 years at Mnazi Mmoja Hospital. By realistic case-stories from the low-resource hospital, the aim is to train use of the locally-tailored PartoMa guidelines for safe and respectful childbirth care. The seminars take place every 3 months, outside working hours and without per diems or allowances. We extend a special thanks to the filmmaker Lara Meguid for this gift – and to the local PartoMa Steering Group at Mnazi Mmoja Hospital for their continual enthusiasm in conducting these seminars.
